Privacy Policy for Crystalsound

Nami Technology JSC is the company that created the CrystalSound app as a commercial service, which is provided "as is". When we refer to “NamiTech”, “us”, “we” or “our”, we mean Nami Technology company who are responsible for personal data collected about you.

Our company collects personal information from site visitors, customers, and end-users who use the service. Additionally, NamiTech collects certain information from third parties. By choosing to use the CrystalSound app, you are agreeing to the collection and use of your personal information in accordance with our privacy policy. The collected personal information is used to provide and improve the service. NamiTech will not use or share your information with anyone except as described in the privacy policy. The terms used in the policy have the same meanings as in our Terms and Conditions, which can be accessed on the CrystalSound website unless otherwise defined in the privacy policy.

This Privacy Policy applies to personal information collected by NamiTech when you use our Site or Services, or otherwise provide us with personal information. It is important to carefully read and understand the policy before using the site or services. If you do not agree with the privacy policy, please do not download, install, register with, access, or use the Site or Services.

Children’s Privacy

NamiTech has a policy of not intentionally gathering data from children who are under the age of 16. If you are under 16 years old, kindly refrain from providing any personal data to us. We recommend that parents and guardians supervise their children's internet activity and instruct them never to provide personal information without their consent. If you suspect that a child under 16 has shared personal information with NamiTech through the Site or Services, please notify us at crystalsoundsupport@namitech.io and we will do our best to remove that data from our records.

Changes to This Privacy Policy

Although this Privacy Policy was updated on the date listed above, we recommend that you periodically review it since our business and Site and/or Services may change. NamiTech may need to adjust this Privacy Policy at times, and we reserve the right to do so without prior notice. However, if the modifications materially affect your rights or how we utilize your personal information, we will notify you through email or other direct communication before the changes take effect. By continuing to use the Site and/or Services after any updates or revisions to this Privacy Policy, you indicate that you agree with the terms of the updated Privacy Policy. This policy is effective as of 2023–06-20.

To Whom Does This Policy Applied

Note at the outset that this Privacy Policy does not cover our Customers’ websites, products or services. Each Customer is responsible for posting its own terms, conditions, and privacy policies, and ensuring compliance with all applicable laws and regulations. This Privacy Policy applies to:

  • Customers: as noted above, this includes any individual who registers or creates an account individually or on behalf of an entity or organization in order to use the Services.
  • Site Visitors: visitors to our Site, including those who may also opt-in to receive commercial communications from CrystalSound.
  • End Users: NamiTech processes End User data on behalf of its Customers. While our Customers are responsible, as data controllers, for how and why we collect and process our End User personal information, this Privacy Policy also applies to any End User personal information that we process, as a data processor, in order to provide Services to our Customers, except where specifically indicated.
  • Other Individuals: CrystalSound also collects certain professional information from third parties about individuals with whom we do not have a direct relationship or individuals who contact us to get more information about NamiTech.

Information We Collect

During operations, CrystalSound processes your audio and your VoiceID locally. Your audio is private to you and we do not have access to your VoiceID nor we send your audio and voiceID out of your device.

To track usage time, CrystalSound collects:

  • App version
  • Current settings
  • Email address
  • Operating system
  • Usage start times
  • Usage end times
  • Apps used CrystalSound’s virtual speaker or microphone

Paid users can turn off usage tracking in the app's settings.

When users report issues via the app’s settings, two log files of the app will be sent to our backend for troubleshooting. These files include, along with the app's operational logs, the names of audio devices you have used, your email address, and app’s settings.

CrystalSound Website and Backend are deployed on Vercel and we use the following Google’s Firebase services for database, storage, cloud functions, and authentication:

  • Cloud Firestore
  • Cloud Functions for Firebase
  • Cloud Storage for Firebase
  • Firebase Authentication

These Firebase services and Vercel are certified under major privacy and security standards such as ISO 27001, ISO 27017, ISO 27018, SOC 1, SOC 2, SOC 3. In particular, for authentication purposes, Google’s Firebase may store and use some or all of the following information:

  • Email addresses
  • Passwords
  • Phone numbers
  • User agents
  • IP addresses

User agents and IP addresses are employed by Google to provide added security and prevent abuse during sign-up and authentication. IP addresses will be logged temporarily by Google’s Firebase Authentication for a few weeks and will be removed automatically. Other information is retained in CrystalSound’s database.

Log Data

We want to inform you that whenever you use our Service, in the case of an error in the app we collect data and information (through third-party products) on your PC called Log Data. This Log Data may include information such as your device Internet Protocol (“IP”) address, device name, operating system version, the configuration of the app when utilizing our Service, the time and date of your use of the Service, and other statistics.

Cookies

Cookies are files with a small amount of data that are commonly used as anonymous unique identifiers. These are sent to your browser from the websites that you visit and are stored on your device's internal memory.

This Service does not use these “cookies” explicitly. However, the app may use third-party code and libraries that use “cookies” to collect information and improve their services. You have the option to either accept or refuse these cookies and know when a cookie is being sent to your device. If you choose to refuse our cookies, you may not be able to use some portions of this Service.

Types of Cookies We Use:

  • Third-Party Cookies: We use cookies from Google Analytics, a web analytics service provided by Google, Inc. These cookies help us analyze website traffic and usage patterns to improve our services and enhance your experience on our website. The information collected through these cookies is anonymous and does not personally identify you.
  • Referral Tracking Cookies: We also use cookies to track referrals in our invite friend feature. These cookies help us determine if you have been referred by a friend to our website. The referral information collected through these cookies is used solely for the purpose of tracking and rewarding referrals and is not shared with any third parties.

Security

We value your trust in providing us your Personal Information, thus we are striving to use commercially acceptable means of protecting it. But remember that no method of transmission over the internet, or method of electronic storage is 100% secure and reliable, and we cannot guarantee its absolute security

It is important to understand that NamiTech does not have the ability to access or retain any audio data. The microphone and speaker audio data is only processed on the user's devices, and NamiTech does not have access to this information nor do we store it. Additionally, the content of customer and end user conversations is not accessible by NamiTech as it is not shared with us. When you register your voice with CrystalSound, we create a voice profile that is stored on your device. NamiTech does not access or collect your voice profile in any way. Your voice profile is only available to you and is used to filter out other voices on your device. We do not use your voice profile for any AI training purposes, either directly or indirectly. We do not share your voice profile with any third parties.

Payment processing

We do not collect your payment information directly, nor do we store it. Instead, we utilize third-party payment processors that are PCI-compliant to collect payment information on our behalf to complete transactions. Although our administrators can view and track transactions through customer portals, we do not process or have access to your credit card information. However, if we receive refunds, we may require bank information from corporate customers if alternate payment methods were used.
